Re: Nose jobs! (Rhinoplasty)
I had a rhinoplasty a few years ago and although the result is not perfect (the tip/nostrils were reduced and it is not completely symmetrical)I do not regret for a second that I did it. I was so self-conscious of my nose that I even felt uncomfortable each time people could see me in profile. I had wanted to get rid of my old nose so badly for so many years that nobody would have made me change my mind.
So ultimately this is the test. Only YOU know whether it is just a fad or a true problem that can be helped, bearing in mind that there are risks and that results are not guaranteed. I personally also found it difficult to get used to my new appearance because a new nose does change a face a lot (particularly if more or less every single bit of the nose has been changed!).
I feel really sorry for Carrie and Debi and I agree with them that if your nose is not too ugly to start off with, then there will be little improvement potentially but still the same risks.
And by the way, this 'nose with character' phrase is rubbish. If you hate your nose you'll never see it as 'having character'. It just makes you hate yourself.
