Re: Herbs,pumpkin seeds and zinc.

I make up a snack pot, sunflower and pumpkin seeds, goji berries, nuts etc, to nibble throughout the day. What's you view on goji berries btw

I love goji berries, but I buy them under the name lycii berries. They are cheaper that way. Goji is used by the MLM marketers. When they first started marketing them MLM they were selling for $40 a pound. I buy them in China Town for $5 a pound. They are very healthy and I love the taste. Back in the spring I planted a bunch of seeds in my front yard and they are doing great. They are slow growing though. My plants are only about 4 inches tall. But they are taking the heat really well and I found out they are drought tolerant, which is good since there have been a few times I did not get a change to water them for several days.

This is not going to give me enough zinc?

It probably will, especially if you snacking throughout the day.

On the subject of nuts. I tend to eat alot of them due to giving up all my unhealthy treats. I've heard you should limit the amount, what's your take on this?

The main thing with nuts is the high calorie content. And some can have fungi. Especially peanuts, which are notorious for the fungus Aspergillus niger. A niger produces aflatoxins that damage the liver and can cause liver cancer in severely immune suppressed individuals.

I eat mainly Pecans, cashews, and almonds. I'd like to eat some brazil nuts daily for the Selenium, but heard most don't have much in, as not all grown in selenium rich soil.

I have not heard of Brazil nuts being grown in selenium depleted soils. You should check the source and find out where they got their information.
