Re: Olivia Cohen update
Mouseclick,
I do not want to offend you in anyway or create any major discussion, but as I read smilyface's post about her weight and height, it does not seem odd to me. Currently, I'm 5'8 and weigh 115, but for most of my adult life I weighed somewhere between 105-110lb with a bmi of 16, and body fat of 16% as well. I did not have anorexia nor any health problems, actually when I was at the low-end of my weight range, I was in a better health than I am in right now. Just because the weight is low it does not mean that someone has a disease nor that they are unhealthy. Some people have really small frames (like myself) and can carry a reasonable amount of fat and muscle with a low weight. This is not only true for myself, but I know several people whose weights are on the 90lb range and they are perfectly healthy (some with quite a voracious appetite). I also would like to point out that
Shelton insisted on fasting his patients until they reach a skeletal form, and just one of example of this is a patient whom he fasted until he reached somewhere around 70lb. I think Olivia's fasts are insane, and I fear for her life as well, but my main concern is the lack of nutrition rather than her weight itself. At any rate, I just wanted to share my experience with you and hope that this will open up your mind a little bit about the possibility of low bmis not being a synonym for anorexia
