Re: Excess Vit. A Concern -- A case where a little knowlegde is a dangerous thing

Would avoiding the foods with sterols that bind with the cholesterol in the intestines allow more cholesterol to be absorbed into the blood??

The only fats I use are olive oil, virgin coconut oil and some organic butter. I also eat a great deal of vegetables. I do eat eggs and some meat as well. I thought my diet was fairly balanced, but this very low cholesterol reading has made me question my diet. I do not eat anything with wheat as I have gluten intolerance, but do also eat other grains, such as rice, buckwheat and rye. I also eat some dairy (yogurt) and a lot of nuts and seeds.

The nutritionist thinks that I should stay with my current diet, and work on improving my liver function, rather than modify my diet to include more saturated fats or high cholesterol food. What are your thoughts on this approach?
