Re: Budget juicing
ocd, I feel your pain.
My father sent me a new Breville juicer yesterday, and I spent all day today
juicing up the formulas that Norman Walker suggests for multiple sclerosis and for bladder problems in "Fresh Vegetable and Fruit Juices."
The juices were delicious and made me feel good, but I also kept track of the costs of all the vegetables needed for the juice formulas. If I were to drink these formulas every day, I would spend $21.09 per day ($148/week)!!!!!!!
If I were to cut back on this and just drink 1 1/2
quarts of mixed juices per day, I would spend $14.99 per day($105/week).
Given that I like to eat food occasionally, and I'd like for my husband to be able to eat as well, I too have been wondering if I can fit
juicing into my life. If I just drink 12
ounces of carrot juice per day, it would cost $.89 ($6.23/week). That's more affordable, but I wonder if it would make any difference in my health.
I can't wait until someone answers ocd's question, because I would love to know too! Thank you so much.
Sorry, I just noticed that grassman answered the question. Thank you!
Anyone have any more ideas? :)
