Re: muscle testing and adjustments!
My head is spinning, compounded by the 5 hours of sleep I get a day in 2-3 hour stretches ;)
I am so grateful to everyone who has been doing research for me and for all the kind words and prayers!
What makes this even harder is how we weren't able to get a general practitioner, preferably someone like we had in Arizona, a naturopathic MD who had been through a 4 year program, not the online degree :) and who was just super cool, a good listener, didn't have a receptionist to buffer her, you could call her up anytime, she read an article when you brought it to her and seriously considered any research you'd done, etc.
Yeah, I was taking a little selenium, maybe not enough. I have a prenatal vitamin I hardly took, which has micrograms of
Iodine in it, though.
Thanks for your advice!
Oh, on OR, I think I could have refused the newborn screening tests. I chose to do them because there was a bunch of stuff I'd be missing otherwise. I did turn down a number of things, and my midwife was cool about letting me know none of that was mandatory. Like the eye drops, the vitamin K shot, the group B strep test, etc. I love how I turned down all that, only to put my baby on synthroid. Ugh.
