Re: can i save my diabetic mom's vision??
Going blind but still eating potato chips is not a good idea - surely she will ultimately realize that she will likely miss her vision much more than the chips and carbs, and the sooner the better!

had some great suggestions. I prefer GTF Chromium myself, and I would strongly urge consideration of Pycnogenol - Pycnogenol is a powerful antioxidant derived from French maritime pine tree bark and the subject of more than 180 studies over 35 years which has been shown to reduce high blood pressure, LDL cholesterol and blood glucose without affecting insulin levels. Of particular note is its ability to reduce leakage into the retina by repairing capillaries in the eyes. While still largely unknown to American doctors, Pycnogenol is the leading prescription for diabetic retinopathy in France.
I would also recommend you take a look at this article I wrote and compiled:
Natural Help for Diabetes
Nothing wrong with what she is taking now (and I really like Rain-Tree products a lot), but I think you will find some other good alternatives and suggestions in that article.
