Re: Hveragerthi
Hello! Wow so much to ponder, yet all the possibilities that you mentioned are so dead-on in many ways. I am a juvenile/type1 diabetic so they put me on insulin right away at 15 yrs old. I had not had a period until then. I started my period not long after starting the insulin--so I guess that's late from what I gather.
Not necessarily. It varies a lot between individuals. And there are other factors that play a role. In particular amount of body fat. Women who have extremely low body fat levels, such as female marathon runners, will not menstruate. So if you had an abnormally low body fat content this could have been the cause. And insulin stimulates fat production, which could have stimulated the start of menses.
I have many responses I want to post right away, but I want to think about the schedule of events that occured so I can try to avoid too much extra information. But I will mention that I do have thyroid antibodies, so it's Hashimoto's.
Focus on your adrenals. Low affinity antibodies result from a lack of immune modulating corticosteroids being released from the adrenals. I posted details on this on the adrenal support board. If you want to understand low affinity antibodies I posted some info on the mirena board about autoimmunity. Here, I found the post:

Also I am so excited about the treatment for the mycoplasma! I have used the Essiac Teathat comes from the HFS and it always helps me, and it contains chapparal. I wonder if that is why?
That would definitely be part of it. Chaparral is a pretty strong antiseptic. I also like it because it aids the adrenal glands by raising vitamin C in the adrenals.
Plus, I can't wait to give the juniper berries a try, I feel it started out being a low stomach acid issue but has gone on to effect the vagus nerve. I have b-12 injectable, and the stomach movements occur within the hour when I give these to myself. But the subligual does not seem to be as effective?
It could be something as simple as the form of B12. Like many other vitamins there is not a singular form of B12. The term vitamin B12 actually refers to a group of cobalamins. Just like there are around 20 forms of vitamin D, 6 form of vitamin E, at least 2 forms of vitamin K.... Methylcobalamin works the best. Cyanocobalamin is more readily available though.
Anyway, I'm getting carried away with info, so I'll stop for now. THANK YOU SO VERY MUCH FOR RESPONDING. I thought maybe you were a "him" but someone else reffered to you as a "her" in a previous post and there wasn't a correction. Sorry for assuming:). Bobbi
You were right, and there was a correction. If you go back and look at my response I struck out the error and corrected it in her section of the post. I just don't mention my gender because some women don't want to discuss their health problems with a man, or feel that a man would not understand female issues. She probably assumed I was a female because I posted a lot of information on the Minerna board.
