Safe, Natural flea control products

A couple of really good natural sure-fire flea control products.

Sweet Orange Oil -- NOW foods carries 2, 4, 6, 8, 16oz bottles. A few drops in a glob of shampoo in your palm. Should be able to smell oranges. The orange oil is a neurotoxin to fleas, safe on pets. Shampoo as usually, spend time lathering up and massaging all over, to let the orange oil do it's job -- few minutes. Rinse. Pup should be smellin' like an orange grove and flea free. If there are any fleas still around -- possible in longer hair. Comb with a flea comb or use a pair of tweezers to crush flea. I used the tweezer method on one of my cats. He was able to lay still while I combed and looked for remaining fleas. The fleas won't be moving very fast so it's easy to get them. I had a cat that was very allergic to fleas. Just one flea would have him scratching and biting bald patches. The orange oil in the shampoo took care of his flea issue EVERY time. He was an indoor cat so he didn't get fleas often.

Food Grade diatomaceous earth, be sure it is FOOD GRADE -- dust the coat with the DE. Don't forget tail, legs and feet. If the animal is scratching, dust liberally with the DE. It'll kill the fleas, it's like tiny razors to insects. Be careful not to breath the DE or let the animal breath it, don't create a dust cloud.
