Your boyfriends reaction to colonics is not at all unusual. Women, in general, tend to be much more accepting and open to alternative holistic modalities. He may be less tense and open to cleansing from below if it's you doing it, rather than a therapist stranger.

Try to get him to let you give him an enema. It may take a few tries, but eventually he may go along with it and will probably be grateful afterwards.

It's worth a try.
