I noticed you just posted and may be waiting for an answer. It is really a good thing your family came out and took you to the hospital. Your situation sounds very familiar. Someone very close to me has a condition called schizo-affective disorder with OCD Obsessive Compulsive Disorder. I'm not sure what you ended up being diagnoised with, but I can tell you that when he is on his medication, he is much better.

There are people who are going through the same things there. They have discussion boards there as well for specific conditions.

The insomnia can contribute to this different perception that you are having right now. I hope your sleeping will get back to normal soon. I know it is not easy to go without proper sleep--I too struggle with that myself.

Anyway, don't worry. I'm pretty sure you don't have parasites. Your perception is just a little off right now--that's all. This is likely all that is causing you to see things like the fibers that other people cannot see. Nothing to worry about. Please trust your doctors and your family and get better soon! Tweet
