Re: --The Pollen man--
Hi JustinL,
There actually was a guy that sold pollen years ago that called himself the pollen man. I don't sell it at all. It was a joke.
Depending on one's PC stance, religion or viewpoint replace the word pollen and add any living thing. Muslim's don't eat pigs, Christians do, vegans and vegetarians won't eat it either but Hawaiin's love it. I've never heard anyone had a personal issue regarding the consumption of bee-pollen.
The way the eco-system works and pollen in general is that even more is produced as the supply dwindles, there's no such thing as running out. That's proven.
That aside, we've got no crops without the bees and pollination, so I haven't a clue what you're talking about. Everything you consume is a by-product of pollination, so then don't eat and then pollen and the bees will rest easily. Well not really, it won't matter :)
The human consumption of pollen is regulated to the rather trivial amount the bees collect and bring back to the hive. The bulk of the world's supply never gets to the hive and never gets eaten, so there's plenty to go around.
The more we consume the more gets produced. Pretty much since the dawn of man all civilizations have cherished bee-hive products. So you're suggesting to not to consume honey ( the biggest hive crop) because you think we abuse them? I don't understand your comment at all which pretty much applies to any living thing.
Bees are like cats, when's the last time you told a cat what to do and they listened?! Bees do what they do because that's what they do not because they are slave laborers.
