Re: --The Pollen man--
Hi moreless,
That was a joke, poking fun, one has to laugh sometimes because it can get too serious. No ones upset, I think generically speaking we all want to avoid pesticides and now unfortunately what I call fraken-cides.
There are a few studies regarding pesticides in the hive now mostly because of CCD. It is in it's infancy but one study at Penn State showed levels (if I recall correctly) at about 9 ppm/kg which is a minute amount. The study I also think was on the wax the bee-keepers used to build the hive with but there are others. As an aside bees avoid contaminated pollen and seek out the highest in terms of nutritional quality. They would die otherwise which obviously is happening.
Areas that exist for pure as it gets pollen would be Australia and New Zealand and possibly the Yukon in Canada. Other than that, you'd probably have to find organic in the US and then make sure what that means. The best pollen I've had is Australian.
And for me personally, large amounts of Chlorella powder will move out the heavy metals and butter is a very good deep tissue toxin remover. I'm sure there are other things available too like cilantro, parsley, etc.
Other than that a move to New Zealand or Australia would work too. :) But as time wears on and the huge chemical companies encroach upon the world who knows how long before even the pristine environments get contaminated because of greed. A bit of a mess to be sure.
Take care.
