Re: Ephesians 1:3-14 A whole lot said in this passage

What is your hope theObserver? Do you have hope for your life, and if so, what is it?

Jesus is my hope. And His promises to me that are written in the bible give me hope. No other religion out there offers me any other hope like Jesus and His teachings in the bible do. No other man-made philosophy either. Why? because everything other than the teachings of Jesus Christ, is about what man's going to do, how man's going to work out his own problems, and his own salvation in some way or another. And even some read the bible this way. I used to be one of those. Then God revealed to me my powerlessness to save myself, and that was one of the greatest revelations of my life. I felt real hope for the first time after that. I began to understand that my life wasn't in my hands, but God's hands. What a relief that was to me. Maybe your life hasn't ever been as messed up as mine has been, and maybe you have some hope left in yourself and how you are going to work everything out. But I came to the point of no hope in myself to save myself, and God gave me a new hope then, a much greater hope, a true hope that rests in His power and in His love, a hope that cannot be destroyed by me or anyone else.

This is why I love the bible so much, because the bible confirms to me the truths God has taught me, that I know in my heart, the truths that give me hope!
