Re: venting...sorry...
Hi Tatertot,
I had a huge tapeworm, didn't have a clue, and I was 55 at the time, and it was right before Christmas, and I own a retail jewelry shop. The timing couldn't possibly have been worse. I started with paragone from the heath food store, and it made me so sick I found something called Purify by the Life Tree which I bought over the internet. It's got a lot of stuff that is anti tape worm because the dwarf tape worm is very common in the southern US, where I live.
I think they are located in Mississippi.
It doesn't have
Wormwood , which scared me, because I wasn't at all sure about my liver at that point.
I started seeing tape worm segments that were quite large, that looked like white segmented little pillows, I think almost a half an
inch square, although I didn't measure them.
I wasn't then a member of cure zone, but I read everything I could get my hands on about intestinal parasites, and I realized that I could actually get an intestinal blockage, and wind up needing surgury if I didn't get it with the herbs. I called the company that I bought the stuff from, and they told me to keep at it, if anything increase the dose, and to look for the tape worm head, which would make sure I had killed it.
I was quite sick, it was like a very bad flue, but I had customers who were expecting what they ordered, and ON Time, it's Christmas. You think that profs get mad when you don't get stuff done on time, try a customer you've had for a while that wants that special thing for someone special.
So I just got through it. I won't say it was fun, I was exhausted, couldn't sleep, got into actual legal trouble in my shop with fish and wild life over something we didn't do, (that is easy to do in florida, they try to arrest you for breathing down here) made money in my shop, and had to turn right around and spend it on legal fees to get out of trouble for something I didn't do. I was actually so sick I couldn't think straight, but I had to work anyway, so I did. I know I had terrible anxiety, night sweats, feverish, muscle aches, just plain shook at times, it was awful.
But I finally found the frickin tape worm head, which in many ways was a big relief, because it was large enough that I could identify the species, and it was a beef tape worm and not a pork tape worm.
Much better than having cysts in my brain, thank you very much.
Since I got rid of it, I've been much healthier, although I have had to diet since then. (I'm about to go on another one.)
I think that by accident, I found a formula that was pretty specific to what I had.
In general, I think if you want to purchase an herbal formula, find one that is area specific, because it will have the herbs in it that will take out the parsites that are common in the area that you live in. It's cheaper if you make your own herbals, which I've since learned to do, and unless you have a very large infestation, like I did, I don't think it's necessary to be on the stuff for months and months like the herb sellers recommend. I think for garden variety
parasite removal, unless you have a horrible infestation like I did, then a couple of times a month, near the new moon and the full moon will keep things down.
I do like barefoots opinion on this one, everyone has
parasites all of the time, it's a question of keeping your body healthy enough that you are winning, and you are healthy, and your own body fights the infection.
he recommends using a dewormer regularly, as part of regular living, eating healthy food, exercizing, and going about your life.
I can't use his dewormer because it contains alcohol, and so I'm come up with my own regular stuff I take. He was kind enough to give me some suggestions, which have worked for me.
I just got though talking to a friend who has a lot of both psychological and physical trouble, complaining of hives. I told her she probably had round worms, which she got from her dogs, and she didn't want to talk about it because it was too gross. (I happen to know her dogs did have round worm, and it's easy to get them.) I'm glad you are not acting like a yuppie and being so grossed out about the possibility of intestinal worms that you don't treat yourself, but it also doesn't have to become the main focus of your lifestyle, and I think it's great that you've figured all of this out at the age you are, you and your family, if you decide to have one, will be much healthier, happier, more productive people.
My best,
Julie
