Re: venting...sorry...

Tatertot,
There are some really simple things that you can do with your diet everyday, that will help keep down the worms, and eventually will kill them off.
These sound dumb, but over time they work;
eat a lot of pinapple
eat salads with lemon and olive oil dressing and a lot of herbs as dressing.
Include as much oregeno, basil, sage, rosemary, cinnamon, and particualy CLOVES as you can in your diet.
Eat pumkin seeds, you can get them in any store that serves a hispanic population under the name of pepitos.
Anything orange- orange squash, pumkin, papaya, helps. Papaya has an enzyme that digests them for you, if you can't afford the enzyme, buy yourself a papaya when you can at the grocery store. Apple cider vinegar is another one, it's cheap and it helps. (Try no more than a table spoon a day, I overdid the apple cider vinegar, and now even the thought of the stuff makes me gag! -but it's great for sore joints!)
Diatomacious earth is another cheap remedy that you can include in your diet, and worms in your instestines hate it, it kills them quite nicely. I bought about 5 pounds of it off of ebay for about 7 bucks, I have enough of the stuff for my entire town and all the pit bulls in the south, for a couple of years.
I've bought so much stuff from iHerb they give me a discount, it's cheaper than the health food stores, and you can get a lot of bang for your buck if you stay away from the formulas, and you make up your parasite purge yourself. If you are broke, and you have to pick just one or two things, I'd pick oil of oregeno, and tumeric and bromelain, and Wormwood .
I've rarely been able to use the prepared products, most of them contain alcohol, which I don't use because I'm a recovering alcoholic. The preparations that I'm put together myself seem to work as well as anything I've bought as a prepared dewormer, Wormwood is Wormwood , it kills worms, and it's much cheaper to buy it as a separate herb than as part of any of the marketed products.
I have to say that I've given up on NOW products, they are cheap for a reason, and they just don't seem to work. I've had really good luck with Nature's Way brand herbs, they are inexpensive, and they seem to be very high quality for the money.
I'm not sure that the take the herbs for three weeks or a month works all that well, I've had a lot of success hitting them at the full moon and the new moon, when they are pretty active, and skipping the rest of the month. Most of the time when I have killed worms with herbs, it's been at those two times, so I have to admit, I have gotten to the point where I just do what I know is effective, and I skip the rest.
My experience with the drugs weren't positive, it turns out that when I did take the one drug I tried, which was the over the counter drug for pin worms, I wound up with scattering, and damage to my left eye. (I had a bit of the back of the eyeball separate, not a retinal detachement, but it's left a big black spot I'll have for the rest of my life.)
Hey look at it this way, I've gained weight since I got rid of the tape worm, they aren't all bad evidently. I do
feel much better than I did before, even if I have to watch what I eat, and it's worth keeping at it. So the kill off the worm purges really helped me.
If you already have a zapper, keep using it, that is one of the better worm remedies, and all you have to pay for is more batteries.
I sympathize with the being busy, I've been running a business and remodeling a house during most of my deworming fun and games, went to work, didn't have a Sugar daddy, and just coped. Sometimes it's been very hard, particualy with hard die-offs when I had deadlines to hit.
I'm sorry to hear how discouraged you are, and I'm sure been there, but it will be worth it for you if you hang in there, I'm sure you don't want to haul around freeloading parasites as long as I did.
Julie
