Re: can anyone tell me what this means?
HUGS J,
This article references a previous similar study! AARGGH! And goes on to say:
With increased use of the Mirena coil, histopathologists need to be aware of the characteristic and constant endometrial changes due to progestogenic and mechanical effects, despite a wide variation in the duration of usage.
MEANS:
With more and more women using Mirena, doctors can expect that the lining of the uterus WILL undergo EXPECTED and CONSTANT changes because of the hormone and the device. According to this study's findings, it doesn't matter how long the Mirena was in use by any particular women for them to experience these growths, cellular changes, etc.
At least 2 studies with results that showed it didn't matter how long a woman had the IUD, these "changes" occured.
I HATE the people who push this product.
