Alcohol, tea & tincture...and FLUORIDE (???) yes, fluoride.
Adding tincture to a cup of 'drinkably warm tea, does not evaporate much of the alcohol.
Putting a dose of tincture in a glass, and splashing it with boiling water? That evaporates the alcohol.
As stated in this thread, evaporating the alcohol does not mean you get "less herbal goodness", only that it doesn't assimilate as rapidly.
For those that have ANY type of colitis issues (always a lack of assimilation) - you take the doses straight, or in a small splash of water whenever possible.
The liver tincture (very bitter) - should be taken with nothing but water. It's the bitterness of the bitter herbs that stimulate the liver. Watering it down too much or mixing it with any other flavor will lessen the efficacy.
With tea? After reading this, I hope EVERYone on this forum throws away their green/black tea. Herbal tea is the ONLY kind of tea I want my precious tinctures in! There is NO benefit in green/black tea that counterbalances ::::insert scary organ music:::: FLUORIDE!

(And just fyi, the first person that posts something about how our bodies NEED fluoride - when we're already saturated with it. And now "natural" fluoride isn't harmful because we need trace amounts, so getting plowed with it is okay...? Well, they get the Rolling Pin Treatment!
