Re: The acid test?

You are right. Calcium hydroxide (lime) is caustic. Sodium and potassium hydroxides are used as drain cleaners. Magnesium hydroxide is used as a laxative because it chemically burns the intestinal wall. There are warnings on bags of lime to avoid contacting the skin because it can chemically burn the skin. If the ML followers would take the time to do the research they would also find that hydroxides are some of the strongest free radicals known!

There is also the problem that too much calcium has its own list of side effects. These include high blood pressure, muscle cramping, constipation (bad for detoxing), and restless leg syndrome. And what about people with hyperparathyroidism? A one treatment cures all attitude as well as a one cause for all diseases and disorders is nothing but dangerous quackery!!!

Calcium is not the only nutrient needed by the body, and it can be dangerous in an imbalance. If people really want nutrition why not take a more balanced source of nutrients such as seaweeds, alfalfa, nettle leaf, oats, etc. Any of these will not only give you calcium, but also magnesium, silica, boron and a lot of other important nutrients required for proper health. And these are not caustic or powerful free radicals like lime and other hydroxides (OH).
