Re: Supporting the body in iodine detox & depression.

Dear balancedstep,
My heart goes out to you. I thought I had overdosed on Iodine when I found this forum. I've become a lot more educated here in the last two weeks, but it's also raised many new questions and concerns for me too.
I wish you had somebody to direct you through this un-nerving experience and give you coaching day by day. I have much trepidation on what to do too, when, how much, how long. I just keep praying. This sunday will be two weeks since my last Iodine supplement, but I'm getting some Iodine in my food and multi-vitamins. Taking it slow. I don't know how long before things settle down and the detox symptoms go away.
I have not read the book about iodine and the thyroid. But I'm really nervous now about continuing the iodine suppliments and future detox bouts. Hoping a big one like this--actually brought on by a pinch of Kelp on top of the Iodoral (I didn't realize it at the time, but I was experiencing detox symptoms at a tolerable level during the two weeks I was taking the Iodoral)--won't happen again.
