Re: Supporting the body in iodine detox & depression.

I'm new to this forum, but the information I found here was a God-send. I had no idea when my holistic doctor put me on an Iodine suppliment program in response to hypothyroidism that it could lead to detox and deppression! I thought I should be feeling better, and instead felt worse and worse--even needing time off work.

I was on 12.5 mg of Iodoral and decreased the amount due to the headaches. I took this for about 3 weeks, and then had one small pinch of Kelp that sent me into immediate "headrush" and apparently detox. I haven't taken the Iodoral since. It's been five days since the Kelp, and I feel aweful. I've tried the salt push (average 3 times a day) and the Epsom Salt/baking soda soak (one per day). Like another person who posted here, I lost my apetite in combination with water bowel movements, but am trying to keep up on the vitamins, fruit, and veggies and trying to get some protein and carbs.

How long? How long can I keep up the salt push, detox baths. Any guidance on when one can start feeling better? I'm sure it all depends on how toxic one is and how well one suppliments? PLEASE HELP!
