...and you could say it was more like a glider out of control when fasting, with lots of up and down draughts. A powered descent (eating) is smoother and quicker.

Oddly enough the green line on my weight ticker is the same colour as Lovell's green line, because the phytoplankton glow with the same green colour. You can see it glow behind a yacht on a moonless night, and you can see it when underwater night diving, if you turn your torch off and wave your hand around.

It's also accurately depicted in the Leonardo DeCaprio movie "The Beach"
