I have never ever used one of those protable saunas. I'm wondering whether that actually falls into the definition of a sauna. I have always thought that a sauna would be a wooden cabin. The dectionary says the following:
A Finnish steam bath in which the steam is produced by pouring water over heated rocks.
A bathhouse or room for taking such a steam bath.
A dry heat bath.
A room or enclosure for taking a dry heat bath.
I just think those little 'sauna' things look a bit funny. Don't get me wrong, they could be wonderfully fantastic, it's just something that looks funny. As I have an infrared sauna I am all for the wooden cabin over the other one. The thing I love about it most is the smell. I LOVE the smell of saunas. mmmmmmmmmmmmm! :D
And even more, I think I like hot rock saunas. I guess it depends what mood I'm in to be honest.
