Portable FIR Sauna vs. Wooden Sauna Room

I'm thinking of buying a sauna for the first time.
My choice is a sauna room for 2 (approx. price $1,000 - $1,500) w/ ceramic infrared heaters(though I'd be the only one sitting there, but I'd buy for 2 b/c I'm big 6'2" 225 lbs.
OR a portable sauna that you sit in and your head sticks out.

My question is , cost aside, which is "better" and why?

Then within the portable sauna category is there an advantage to buying an expensive model such as

over the aluminum foil looking models.?
