Bio-unavailable oxidized copper, and available copper

I went back to find the post about the Bio-unavailable oxidized copper (Ocu), and Available copper (Cu) to save to my favorites. That explanation helped alot.

That makes sense when I read stuff that is talking about excessive copper, and copper deficiencies in the same information. Without clearing out the toxic, oxidized, excessive copper (through the bile), at the same time also supplying a "fresh source" of copper, you can have both problems...excessive copper, and a copper deficiency- is that right?

Yes, that set off some alarm bells with me too.
But don't get too strict in interpretation of any or this. IMO the key to it all is the difference between bio-Available and bio-Unavailable copper.

For simplicity sake lets call bio-Unavailable oxidized copper (OCu). After seeing what IP6 does I am a firm believer that the problem is a shortage of Cu and an excess of OCu...

I believe (I read somewhere) copper is used as the oxidizer to change Iodide storage to Iodine by the thyroid so without fresh copper your endocrine system fails yet you may be loaded with OCu...>>>


I was telling a friend how many of the symptoms they are having, I've been reading about that are associated either with excessive copper, or copper deficiency. They are a binge-eater (bulimic)...plus have terrible insomnia, adversion to protein (especially red meat) and crave carbohydrates.

I just found a place with more copper information, also talking about excessive, and deficient...and talking about binge eating, and the protein/carbohydrate thing.
