I think all I've done is illicit a scare at the front end of a story, grin.  Hopefully, the real work would be to be aware that eradicating prednisone from your body is the ticket.  The tincture was highly recommended but certainly not the only way. 

I would also do some research on how to prevent AVN as that is a potential outcome of this nasty longer term use of perdnisone.  By the time we became aware that AVN had coursed thru my sweetie's body, the immediate solutions were total joint replacements.  It has been a 5 year process.  You can't reverse full blown AVN.  When I saw the first pictures of her hips, and then shoulder, I could not believe she was walking.  Neither could the ortho doc.  Sadly, this was searing pain for two years and we thought it was a perpetual groin pull... but fleeing from a house fire (another twist in our story) caused her hip to collapse, yet we went for another 9 months before it was finally diagnosed. 

Sooooooooooo, I'd look to some reasearch on prednsone damanage prevention, just to be safe.  We will assume none of this stuff will ever happen to ya, but an OZ of prevention is an LB of... etc etc etc.
