Re: Providone iodine?

My wife and I paint with povidone all the time.  And some other family members.  We have been using it to dissolve skin blems on our face, and tags elsewhere.  Works a peach.

I was at first concerned that it would burn or dry the skin.  It has had the opposite effect actually.  Like a very gentle exfoliation after a few days.  We don't don't it every day. because we forget.  So that puts in the on again, off again routine which is probably the best.

A couple of things I added to this: jojoba oil.  Paint with povidone first, then put a few drops of jojoba oil on and work it in.  Seems to enhance the application and also keeps the skin more supple; and we have also used a handheld ultrasound thingie which was first for joint and muscle issues, but we began to do the povidone/jojoba application on the face and then use the ultrasound device, and it appears to be having the effects work faster.  Nice.

So, external use of Povidone has been an A+ around here.  Dunno about the age factor tho for your bottle.
