Hi Lymegirl. The best thing for now, is to check your symptoms against toxoplasmosis, then look at other apicomplexan diseases like cryptosporidium etc. This parasite can adapt very effectively to host, so it customizes it's genes to your immune system.
Many cases, it tends to affect the eyes.
In my case, I have sever sensitivity to light, and bad eye floaters.
You could even have yeast problems. My theory about that is, they cause increased activity of mast cells and epithelial cell defenses. This kills a lot of bacteria, and creates opportunity for yeast and other types of bacteria to mutate.
I would say increase of allergies is a very good indicator.
