Thats so interesting megghill what you said about the OCD kicking in after your bout of Epinstein Barr virus. I got to thinking back and that is exactly when mine set in too. I can definately relate to it getting worse after periods of stress and around period times. I was also put on Lustral/Zoloft years ago but it actually made my OCD worse unlike yours. I wondered if OCD was related to the liver (my obsession again! lol) because stress affects the liver and also around period times the liver is dealing with hormones. The fact the Lustral/Zofloft made me worse could again be because of the negative effect the drug had on my liver. I have noticed that when I do any candida cleansing again my OCD increases which leads me to my liver once again. I think though at times I do just have an obsessive personality but then again I was never like that before the EBV. I suppose we can go round in circles wondering what causes what etc but it doesnt get us very far only stress our adrenals further (which was an excellent point you made). I enjoyed your initial post by the way and it made alot of sense. I only wish I felt a bit better to actually concentrate on doing nice enjoyable things rather than worrying (and obsessing!)over my health!
