Is anyone interested in or heard of the work of Joel Fuhrman? He advocates that a plant based diet consisting of mainly raw or steamed vegetables, fruit, beans, cooked soups and and some nuts, generally very low in animal and dairy products (or vegan) and high in nutrition as the key to good health. He even says this can cure and reverse diseases, such as cancer heart disease and type 2 diabetes.
The following videos explain can it better than I can. It will take about 20 minutes to watch them all, but they are good. First off is a 3 minute video to show why Fuhrman is not mainstream. It is because his free advice will cost the drug companies, a LOT. This first video will also be of interest to people suffering type 2 diabetes, or anyone with any health issues come to that:
Notice how the policy was to to pay him first even though he offered to write an article for free, and later attempt to influence the content. I think it was very noble of him to repay his fee and not alter the contents of his story.
Below is a 5 minute video showing his theory H = N/C. Health = Nutrients / Calories.
Below is a 10 minute talk from a video, showing his theory in more detail, expanding upon micronutrients and which foods are best to eat.
Here is a short 1.5 minute TV appearance showing how his eating plan can help people tackle obesity.
Doctor Fuhrman has his own official YouTube Channel should you wish to see any more of his stuff. Several of these videos came from that channel, should anyone wish to see more.
This is also similar to the outlook of Ravediet and Processed people websites, they also have videos. Indeed, Furhman says the Ravediet video is "mind blowing" and appears as an expert in the Processed people video.
I am currently reading the book "Eat to Live" and may well get some more of his stuff, and try this out. Eat to live starts with a six week plan, but this way of reating is actually a lifestyle diet. I would be interested to hear what people think.
