You are entertaining me :)

--------

Currently - Big business runs government - the revolving door...

I'm sure many people would agree with you and I think that is what certain politicians want you to believe.

--------

Why would politicians what me to believe this? It is fact regardless of who want what...

next line item:

so the main reason in todays times are they cut prices below their costs to kill the competition - then double the price once they have a monopoly. Good for business - monopoles. Not good for the working man...

I suppose you know a better economic system.

--------

Just go back to the new deal - government return to being referee - worked nicely before (well for the working man) Get back control of the money supply/printing.

The system that works well - 1/2 greed-capitalism  1/2 cooperation - socialism   ( that is the real type of socialism which is bottom up power)  the balance would be the best possible situation in my view. This is the idea of the "theory of Republican VS Democrat".

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I suppose government doesn't do anything to get in the way of this from happening.

-------------------

Government gets out of the way of the biggest spender (the lobbying above and below the table) and into the way of the lesser spender or no spenders -  In this manner companies have been crushed by the rule book (regulations)changing...

Who tried to stop Whole Foods from buying out Wild Oats?

---------

What does whole foods merging with wild oats have to do with anything? I am getting a picture. Tell me if I am correct. Are you thinking well whole foods is a "good" company, and look it gobbled up wild oats. See even the good guys do it...

How could football be played with out referees? This is my point. Some mergers are fine - some are not - many fall into grey area... thus we need a referee.

The best example - "TO BIG TO FAIL" to add insult to injury - the to big to fail takes the free money from government -  and BofA takes TARP money then buys Countrywide.  Clearly this is far far out of control. But it will change - allow the government to play referee OR continue we can continue as we are and see how much longer the system will run.. Maybe this will the NWO to come into fruition. Yea Yea I know everyong hates the NWO. I like a world with out borders :)
