Re: I Was Just Getting Started

If government came around and took all of those evil profits, then where is the incentive for businesses to cut expenses?  If businesses don't cut expenses then are expenses passed on the to consumer?

Since when is profits evil? That is like saying water is evil. It makes no sense. Now if I force you head under the water and drowned you - is the water which you were drowned in evil?  If I take water to the thirsty and give them drink, is the water now good?

I heard it said - The love of money is the root of evil. Is money then evil? no obviously not...

The current structures actually are PERFECT as they are - from a spiritual growth view. from a belief that the creative force-the I Am knows what he is doing and actually needs NONE of our intervention to change anything...

So I must change my perspective and say OK it is perfect as it is and the s*** that I do not like etc is helping me to grow spiritually - if I don't fight it....   BUT like a stubborn kid I do.... Maybe I will learn - I would rather graduate from this planet some day...

You see for me - I do not accept the way the world is. I refuse to "go along to get along". I believe in WE over I. I will not hurt others to get anything I desire (not intensionally that is). I have chosen a the harder path in life (which is no better or worse that ANY other path). Only now I realize the worldly "things" - the striving for this and that is what caused my pain and suffering through life - yes I am my own worst enemy- I suspect we all are to ourselves not realizing it until late in life if we make it to old age.

When I choose to let go - not judge (wow is that hard)- I can walk in grace and peace. When I am not concerned about "what I want" suddenly I am content/happy and it gives me joy to try to give love to those closest to me. Interestingly they respond similarly and I receive it back. Feels good - though life's struggles are always there...

OK now debate on the level I think you wanted-

If government came around and took all of those evil profits, then where is the incentive for businesses to cut expenses?  If businesses don't cut expenses then are expenses passed on the to consumer?

I love the free business model based on -he who can make the best product for the best price should win in the market place. Currently - Big business runs government - the revolving door...

So the questions which you frame are nonsense to me-I do not think that way. I do not support government taking profits from companies. I believe it is very rare that cutting business expenses make it to the consumer-it is against the corporations operation rules to do so. Their rule #1 is to create wealth for the owners... so the main reason in todays times are they cut prices below their costs to kill the competition - then double the price once they have a monopoly. Good for business - monopoles. Not good for the working man...
