Thrush is a tough thing to go through and for mom and baby to get rid of, you have to sterilize bras, sheets, clothes, everything, and drink tons of bio-k for both mom and baby. For a newborn the mom can put bio-k on the nipple right before the feed. C-section babies who are not able to pass through the birth canal and be colonized with the good bacteria of the mother (or in your case your good bacteria wasn't there due to Antibiotics ) it is recommended and standard practice that the OB-gyn administer infant bifidus to the baby immediately after c-section birth to colonize. Additionally breastfed babies get good bacteria through the milk as well. It warmed my heart to hear a smart mom who wouldn't give up the most precious gift you can give your baby. I bet that your homeopath was not breastfed as a baby and was subconsciously jealous and wanted to gain pleasure in separating the breastfeeding couplet. Only joking, well, half joking because I'm probably right. There are some really sick people out there who thrive on stuff like that when they see a beautiful mom and baby, they want to destroy the happiness they have never felt themselves their whole lives. It is so true. I get this all the time, even from a naturopath. Even if candida is present in the birth canal, a breastfed baby who is benefiting from mother's milk, whose mother is on the anti-candida diet, and is supplementing with probiotics since birth should fare very well without a yeast problem. Babies are resilient and built perfectly. Parent's however need to detox. If all you eat for 2 weeks is lean protein and greens then I heard candida will be gone, this is a great thing for breastfeeding moms to know because it is something doable instead of a severe cleanse that is not.
