Re: very urgent pls reply soon

Hi Sweety,

First off let me congratulate you on fasting for 14 days, way to go girl!  I’m fasting right now, I’m on day 3 so your much further along than I am, I wish I was at day 14.

If you think about losing weight as: I just have to lose this much in this time frame, your setting yourself up for disappointment.  Think about how long it took you to gain the weight, I’m sure it didn’t happen overnight, I know it didn’t for me it took years of making the wrong choices.  You’ve chosen to fast for weight loss and that’s a good way to lose weight but like everything you try in the weight loss arena we all hit plateaus.  There will be days you won’t lose any and there might even be days that you gain a pound.  This is nothing to be worried about, it will all work itself out in the end.  If your doing a water only fast, I mean you are drinking only water to thirst then there is no way that you won’t lose weight!

There could be any number of reasons why you haven’t lost.  You should pick a time to weigh yourself and weigh yourself that same time every single day.  Also I find that it’s much easier to see a true picture of what you might have lost if you weigh in the same clothing everyday.  The weight of clothes widely varies, for example if you weigh one day in your nightgown and the next day you weight wearing jeans and a tee-shirt of course your going to weigh more with the jeans on.  Also if your scale isn’t correctly calibrated that could make a difference.

I guess what really concerned me about your post is that you seem to be in a panic about not losing weight for a couple of days.  When your stressed or in a panic it is not a good time to be fasting, your body needs you be be in a state of rest and peace.  Try to think about all the good things in your life and how healthy your getting by fasting, you know fasting does much more for the body than just losing weight.  You are cleaning out all the trash that has accumulated through the years of eating badly.  Your resetting your body to crave good healthy live foods instead of junk.

Give yourself a pat on the back because you have accomplished what many people can’t.  You need to love yourself and appreciate what good you have done with this fast, find a way to be happy with yourself regardless of your weight, your on the right path with this fast.  If you don’t accomplish your goal with one fast then refeed properly and do another one.  Don’t beat yourself up about it.  If you can come to terms with what you weigh now and be happy with yourself it will be much easier to accomplish your goals, mindset is a very powerful thing.

As for being weak and tired, that is normal when fasting.  I wouldn’t worry about it if it doesn't go on for days and days, if it does I would break the fast, refeed and fast again in another few months.  I wouldn’t exercise while fasting, I tried walking on a treadmill and I paid for it the next day.  The best thing you can do for yourself is rest, take it easy, and know you are doing a good thing to improve the quality of your life.

I wish you nothing but the best Sweety, please keep us posted.
