Good post Sacristia. I think the general public doesn't realize just how smart the companies that manufacture the food are. They know that in this day and age we're all so busy so they package food in boxes so that all we have to do is pop them in the microwave. Then the marketing agencies are equally as smart, they put all the emphasis on how much time we'll save by buying these items, showing us that we can't live without them.

I can't remember where I read this but I read that the food companies put something in the food that is addicting and thats how they get us to purchase over and over again. Not to mention that there is less food in the boxed items and they charge more for them, but the general public doesn't seem to care because of the time it saves. So in the end they make more money and we get addicted to fake food. How sad!

If we don't change our habits concerning food more and more people are going to look like the lady in that motorized shopping cart. Just looking at that picture should give us all a wake up call!
