Re: Is Cascara Sagrada a Stimulant Laxative?

Too late for me. But then I'll admit that it is better than constipation. Absolutely nothing that I tried before (for 40 years) worked. Not probiotics, not extra fiber, not enzymes, not more water, etc. I remember a centenarian's interview as to what she attributed to her longevity. She said she took an ExLax everyday. This was when it had its original chemical.

Someone needs to tell Dr. Schulze . No warning on his label. His most popular Formula #1 contains:

"Botanical Ingredients: Curacao and Cape Aloe leaf, Senna leaf and pod, Cascara Sagrada aged bark, Oregon Grape root, Hawaiian Yellow Ginger root, Garlic bulb and Habañero pepper."

Senna is a major stimulant and is now the ingredient of ExLax.

Cape Aloe (aloe ferox) is an amazing product for all its other functions though.
