How often do they give money directly to a person that needs it? They won't do it, because there's no Tax-write off involved.

This begs the question, do liberals not give their money for tax write offs? 

But Gore "gave at the office." By using public office to give other peoples' money to government programs, he was being charitable, as liberals increasingly, and conveniently, understand that word.
