have they eliminated poverty?

Reagan was no conservative and his policies destroyed the free market and our industrial base allowing mega corporation to eliminate free market competition in this country ushering the unproductive servile service industry we suffer with now! Reagan was a state corporatist and through the use of social engineering laws and tax laws enlarged the corporate state!
Reagan was considered a liberal democrat until the neocon scam sucked up the aggressive liberal who wanted to spread democracy through out the world Soviet Union style !


A sober review of Reagan's presidency doesn't yield the seamlessly conservative record being peddled today. Federal government expanded on his watch. The conservative desire to outlaw abortion was never seriously pursued. Reagan broke with the hardliners in his administration and compromised with the Soviets on arms control. His assault on entitlements never materialized; instead he saved Social Security in 1983. And he repeatedly ignored the fundamental conservative dogma that taxes should never be raised.

I believe Reagan loved america and believed in the right to life but ideologically he was a socialist manipulater, his real history tells us so!
Liberals have the false belief that socialist leaders are somehow benevolent politicians and their only goal and desire is to help the poor, a myth perpetuated on the naive and starstruck minions of the left, neo cons and neo liberals are both socialists ,social manipulators whose ends justify any means ! These socialist abducted the words and meanings of both conservative and liberal! Even the most conservative politician sails a socialist ship as does any liberal in America today ! I would contend the word liberal and conservative would be better defined as socialist and libertarian, with the libertarian holding true conservative values such as in Traderdrews article!
