Keep these facts in mind:

1. Baking soda will neutralize stomach acid leading to a whole host of problems.

2. Many pathogenic microbes THRIVE in an alkaline environment and are killed by acid.

3. High alkalinity (alkalosis) is also a major problem.

4. Many acids are beneficial for the body. For example lactic acid and acetic acid are used by the body to control the growth of many bacteria and yeast that thrive in an alkaline environment. Lactic acid also helps to control cancer growth. Glucoronic acid helps the body to detox. Ascorbic acid helps to boost our immune system. Hyaluronic acid holds our bodies together and helps to prevent the spread of pathogens and cancer cells through the tissues. Oxalic acid helps to stimulate immune function by increasing phagocytosis. citric acid and malic acids are essential for the formation of adenosine triphosphate (ATP), which fuels the cells and helps them to function properly.
