herpescure, that 'acid this' and 'acid that' seems misleading as the overall pH of the body or blood itself. Specific 'acids' are localized agents, you don't find them floating around the whole system. It is the blood pH that is of concern, as it travels and feeds most of our body.
Even swimming pool pH strips can help monitor blood pH to safe levels when using baking soda, by adding 1 point to the strip urine reading: 6.4 ('acid' urine) means 7.4 blood. Simple arithmetic. And a number of people i know and myself, and only for experimental or theurapeutic purposes, add ONE level tsp of baking soda to one glass of distilled water, zipped in 24 hrs or at once, no problem to me, and that will raise the pH by ONE POINT for 24 hrs, or 7.4 urine (8.4 blood), and as long a condition is being remedied.
