Your post is difficult to respond to. Usually in a situation where someone has read something negative they will post their concern and where they read it. Then someone familiar with Shelton will put their mind to rest by quoting him and putting a paragraph from his book underneath it as proof.

You have highlighted too many issues at once. This is usually where Chris comes in and addresses each problem individually. That is why you are not likely to get a response to this post, because it would take a long time to explain why all of the things you just mentioned are flawed. For example ... I think someone here would say "well it would be unwise to eat nothing but grapes for a whole month". Or would say "the load on the liver is increased by the detox but lowered by not having to deal with all the food", etc etc etc. I think I have read these types of responses before.

Basically, the area of fasting needs to be studied more. There is not enough information, so the people quoted are often dead and their books dated. Perhaps I am wrong and there are studies done within the last decade. If so it would be handy if someone could post a link on here to something new, and by somebody who does not quote people from a long time ago (meaning more than 10 years). Medical research today is so different from 10 years ago so it would be good to see studies within the past decade. Does anyone have any advice?
