Re: What's the best assimilable form(s) of calcium supplement? Recommendations?
Can you elaborate with references. Off the cuff, I would be thinking foods that are, for the most part, very poor in nutritional value. Many studies exist that show todays human requiring 5 to 8 times that of what one needed to eat, of the same unprocessed foods, just 100 years ago in order to obtain the same nutritional value, calcium being but one mineral affected due to pasteurization and calcium metabolism disruption in the plant (and livestock) due to the use of fertilizers, pesticides, and herbicides.
NPK disrupts calcium, magnesium and sodium metabolism among other things throughout the food chain, including us.
I would go so far as to suggest, the calcium health issues that some people believe exist are calcium metabolism disruptions caused by man made environmental factors, just as we see so prevalently in commercial food plants and livestock industries.
