Re: Moderators Deserve to Know Whats Going On
There is nothing wrong with notifying the moderator why their ban is overturned but I think there should be appropriate guidelines for banning people that moderators should have to adhere to. Not just banning people because you don't agree with their views and experiences or that they were discussing a topic that was not clearly prohibited on a forum up front.
Anyone should be able to post in a forum about their experiences as long as it’s not about something that has been officially prohibited. I could see if they were cursing or being verbally abusive, but just because they discussed pharmaceuticals before it was officially prohibited is no reason they should not be allowed to discuss natural remedies on that forum now. Some people had their posts about natural remedies removed just because they had posted about pharmaceuticals before. And I noticed some of the contents of pharma posts that were moved to the new forum were missing.
Pretending that herbs are completely safe is not healthy either. I looked up quinine; (http://www.family-health-information.com/herbal-medicines/quinine.html) which is an herb with many benefits, and found out it can also have such negative side effects as causing blindness etc. Too much of anything can be dangerous. A friend of mine died from lupus after she became vegetarian and had become addicted to eating something like barley green with alfalfa in it in very large quantities right out of the jar (consuming almost a jar a day at times) and her condition progressively worsened. I later found out that excessive amounts of alfalfa were shown to cause lupus in cows. I also heard excessive copper can cause this in humans as well and I believe alfalfa has a lot of copper in it. So no matter what you are doing you have to be careful.
