I would say that most of the things you describe as conservative also apply to liberals. Where it starts to differ is when religion becomes involved, specifically when you try to impose your own religious values onto everyone else. The founders kept any mention of religion out of the Constitution for a very good reason - they saw what happened in Europe when church and government were the same. It led to widespread persecution, war and tyranny under the cloak of God's will. I respect your beliefs, but as an American, I am free to believe otherwise. And our government should support the right of everyone to believe in whatever god they want, or in no gods if they so choose. That is the genius of our Constitution, that we are all equal to believe as we please, and no one's beliefs are superior.
