Re: Pseudotumour Cerebri - Headaches, Vision Loss/Double Vision, Body pain.

Hi there. I am new to this forum and am blown away by all the other people who have side effects from Mirena. I was especially surprised that someone else posted something about pseudotumor because I am being ruled out for that now. I have an appt. with a neurologist on the 17th of November to figure out what is going on, only I'm pretty sure it's the IUD. I do get headaches, but I have most of my life. I've just noticed that they're kind of like migraines but not. I hear my pulse constantly in my left ear, but don't have any tumors. My left eye twitches sometimes, which it never did before, and it happens usually before the headache comes. Vision sometimes is blurry. Other things not related to pseudotumor-like others, my hair is falling out. I am growing hair on parts of my body that should only grow on men. I'm tired all the time. I've had to change my antidepressant twice because they don't work anymore. The list goes on...I had mirena the first time 6 weeks post partum in april 2006, then it came out on it's own (maybe my body was telling me something) in December of 2007, so I had it replaced and still have it. I have an appt. to get it out the second week of November. It's hard because I am a labor and delivery nurse and people ask all the time about birth control. As much as I'd like to endorse mirena (I do love not having a period) I can't do it. We'll see what happens when I get this thing out. Hopefully it will get better! Tweet
