i would think it would depend on whether you make it yourself at home. (preferable)
When I'd had it in the past it always tasted like plastic--i don't mean just the taste from the bottle--i mean the texture of it seemed like plastic. this past fast I had distilled for a few days and found it quite good.
In "nature", no such thing exists, except in sun-ripened fruits: that kind of nutrient-dense 'water' is wonderful. i'm pretty sure it's what the body would prefer. Once upon a time, rainwater may have been distilled-and-drinkable, but now would be mostly loaded with metals and so on.
After this fast, it took me more than three weeks for drinking water, period, to come back to me. Now I can enjoy it on occasion, but notice it's connected to eating heavier foods. I'm thinking drinking plain water is only useful for those who have the standard diet, where the body *needs* that extra water.
