Reasons

Your Questions:

Q: But i don't understand why the elimination of Garlic?
A: I can't speak for everyone and I don't intend to, but I have suffered with garlic, and the more raw it is the worse the pain has been. I agree with you, and I have enough research to prove garlic is one of the cheapest, most effective remedy for killing candida and some parasites. However, garlic has caused me pain.

There are many possibilities of which I don't know for sure. Garlic could be causing me pain because the candida is putting putting up a fight and my body is causing pain as part of the reaction? It could be causing me pain because garlic is also high in sulphur and sulphur is a natural chelator.

I had high levels of mercury in my body from both urine and hair tests so this is also likely. Research has taught me Zinc is inhibited by mercury 100:1, ie 100 parts of zinc is inhibited by 1 part of mercury. Zinc is apparently stored mostly in the intestine. Correct me here if im wrong.

It could be causing me pain, because it touches a wound deep in my intestine, as a result of a parasite or something else like ulcerative colitis. Have you ever put garlic on an open wound? Its worse than rubbing in salt. Mind you it should be healing, so I don't know. So, many possible reasons, but Im just one case, and probably an exception to many. I go through fluctuations in my abdominal pains, hence being chronic, and sometimes i'm able to introduce garlic again. After a while though when I start getting pains I'm intolerant to a lot of foods, and I have to avoid that whole list plus more to get back on track again.

Q:Combining fruit with meals - again i don't really understand why?
A:Look up the food combing theories on this. It seems logical to me. After all I get bloated everytime I combine fruit with a meal, causing me not to have to wait sometimes 4 hours before I can feel comfortable and even longer if its late at night and I can't sleep. Im talking something simple like eating a pear and then having egg on toast.

Q:Milk i can understand having the cows hormones in it & being acid forming in the stomach, funny thing is i always thought it was good at neutralising acid.

A: Milk does a different thing to me. I don't get pain from it. I get ill, and the first thing I notice is puss spots building up at the back of my tonsils when I develop tonsilitis. I have got ill within 30 minutes of having a bio friendly yoghurt. This has happened twice. I do have products with small amounts of milk in, but when its significant, ie more than typically butter, I will develp colds. I have read 2 excellent books on this - devil in the milk, and dont drink your milk. I recommend both. Both of these books discuss the list of problems associated with milk consumption.

Recently I have been trialling a supplement program according to my metabolic type, determine by a hair mineral analysis. Dr D L Watts, in his book 'trace elements' presents an interesting case that slow oxidisers, such as me, suffer with Depression and chronic fatigue if given calcium supplementation. It can exacerbate and bring to life the epstein barr virus which slow oxidisers are prone to. As you probably know milk has lots of calcium in it.

It is argued from many schools of thought, some believe its a good source of calcium, others argue against it because it doent have a good balance of magnesium and phosphorous causing osteo problems rather than helping them. I don't know. All I know is my body doesn't like it and from an ethical perspective, it encourages cow torture for the manufacture of mass scale of milk.

I get ill, and I remember getting very fatigued anytime I drank milk as a child. I tried to drink it though because health experts encouraged it. It has taken me a long time to respect my body over expert advice. So I listen to my body and consider expert advice, but never take it as gospel no matter how respectable the science.

Q:Similar thing with Vinegar.
A:I don't know about vinegar either. Its supposed to stimulate extra stomach acid and having done an acid test I have low stomach acid. Apparently the Blood Type Diet says to avoid vinegar for blood type As. Im type A. I have tried all vinegar, including apple cider vinegar, and they all irritate me, but this actually causes more of a stomach pain than abdominal pain.

Q:I see you mentioned Oranges separate from Fruit, is there a reason why?
A: There's nothing special about oranges except that I make a point of adding to the list of things that disagree with me. They do the same thing to me as vinegar. Also when I drank orange juice as a child it just tired me out. They are high glycemic index. Its argued they have very little vitamin C, come to the point of consumption due to early picking, no obvious sell by date and distribution.

Q:
Again, tomatoes being acid forming in the stomach. Which brings me to ask why acid is such a bad thing?
A: Tomatoes don't seem to be so bad for me now but generally they have a similar affect on me as does vinegar. You could like up 'the ph miracle' for more info to help explain this. Also the blood type has this as one of the main avoid foods for blood type A's.

Q:Broccoli - i have no idea why to avoid this food? All i know it's high in iron and something else which i forget now?
A: I love brocolli and can eat it when cooked or steamed. When its raw it causes me serious abdominal pains. Maybe its because, having gilberts I have low bile output in my intestine causing poor digestion? I don't know.

Q:Green Tea - This is an interesting one for me, if we're talking about GS suffers here?
A: Its an interesting point you make here about bilirubin levels being raised. I didn't know that. All I can say is it has caused me serious pain. Als its high in caffeine. Im very sensitive to caffeine and it caused me inability to sleep.

I hope I have made sense of some of your queries. A bit exhaustive to say the least, your probably thinking Im one seriously fragile person. Fortunately Ive been feeling much better recently. Vitamin E + fish oil and lecithin have literally cured my abdominal pains. Recently I had some chips though and set off the pain again. Ive been taking dr wilsons adrenal rebuilder supplements, vitamin C and sometimes licorice and my energy levels are good enough for me to work now. Touch wood.

Good luck
