Maca actually decreases estrogen (most people have too much estrogen) and/or balances it.

Also, if you have too much estrogen, do not eat:
- Flaxseed oil
- Any soya products
They will both cause high estrogen. Shouldn't eat soya anyway, it's terrible for you.
I'm not sure why you were getting that reaction from maca, was it in powder forum like Dr Wong recommends?
Anyway, all the sites I've ever read all say maca decreases or balances estrogen. What sites did you read otherwise? Maybe your problem is not estrogen? I'd like to know since I was thinking of taking a bit of maca every once in a while.
Personally, I take 2-9 tablespoons of either sunflower oil, olive oil, or coconut oil (all UNHEATED) a day. Raw fats are what our bodies need, especially for liver support.
