This is a lively debate that is producing lots of info that I'm finding helpful.......and if it was you who started it I'm grateful - please don't be circumspect in future!!

I'm wondering if anyone who has tried these Iodine products is aware of the potential for Iodine toxicity? Ironically one of the symptoms of Iodine toxicity is hypothyroid and goiter as well as breathlessness. I too have been trying to treat very longterm yeast overgrowth with iodine - Lugol's Solution, for the last 3 months, and find it difficult to get a breath after taking a dose if I take more than about 3 drops per day.......and for the first time medical tests are showing I am hypothyroid. All thyroid tests in the past (ie before taking iodine) have shown up as normal...........plus I am putting on weight as never before!!!

I'd appreciate hearing from anyone out there who has knowledge of potential toxicity of iodine.
