Monolaurin
" Hadn't heard of monolaurin (Lauricidin) before- anyone ever used it?)
>>>>Lauricidin -- The monoglyceride of lauric acid is called monolaurin. The concentrated form of monolaurin has potent antibacterial properties. While nontoxic and approved as a direct food additive by the FDA, monolaurin adversely affects bacteria, yeast, fungi, and enveloped viruses. It damages the cell membrane of pathogenic bacteria."
Hey, just wanted to tell you I've tried the lauricidin and had a major die-off reaction with it. Probably the most overt, horrendous die-off I've ever had. (and I've had alot!) I think it did a number on my adrenals, but have since recovered a little. The die-off included a major attack of wheezing, then I started to develope welps all over my body, that were moving from place to place. I thought I would have to call an ambulance b/c it felt like what I've read regarding anaphylaxis reactions. I finally took a benedryl and it slowly went away. I wrote to the company on the website, and they said it sounded like a die-off reaction. They said to lower the dose back. At the time I was taking 1 tsp 3 times a day. It scared me so bad I just stopped it. HTH
